Absolutely loved this restaurant and highly recommend it for anyone going to Leh. Had the most delicious local ladakhi food that had such a home vibe. The prices are super affordable and it’s right near the palace. The owner, Lobzang, makes you feel right at home in her restaurant and even made us the best coffee chocolate and cheesecake that weren’t even on the menu.

This is literally a hole in the wall cafe and could be the best cafe in whole of leh. Nothing fancy, just simple local food. She only makes what is available at that moment for her to make fresh. Nothing else. I had the khambir and it was out of the world. Highly recommended.

Kharlam has been a highlight of our short trip in Leh! The food is DELICIOUS, homemade, fresh, and cooked with love. Cozy indoor and outdoor seating, feels like you're in Lobsang's living room! I have recommended this place to everyone I met on the trip, and eaten just about everything on the menu. The family is so lovely and knowledgeable - her husband Tundup guides treks. Come here for Ladaki food and hospitality!! Much love and best wishes to this gem.

The menu is very diverse with dishes fitting for any hour of the day. We ordered sandwiches for breakfast and indulged in every bite. The produce is very fresh and clean, and so is the kitchen. Small and intimate place, and the owners are very kind and caring. Cannot recommend the place any more. The prices are very good too.

I love this cafe, ever since I got to Leh, I found it almost by chance and ended up going back several times during my stay, not to say almost every other day! Lobzang is the sweetest cafe owner, she is also a great cook and active working mother - you might even get to meet her adorable children at the cafe. I felt at home here, every dish is freshly made on the spot, for example if you order the typical Ladakhi skew or other pasta based dishes, Lobzang will prepare the pasta from scratch, shaping each piece by hand, for each dish. Must try are the chutagi and the skew, made according to local tradition, and the Khambir sandwich with cheese, vegetables and omelette, so good! Lassi is also freshly made, and a personal favourite will be the cold coffee. Prices are also great for the quality, and compared to other cafes in the city centre. Definitely a great spot for any meal, and thank you Lobzang for your hospitality and cooking!
